There’s a particular kind of energy that fills a room when creatives who’ve only ever traded comments online finally meet face to face. That’s exactly what unfolded at Style & Sip: Summer Soirée, hosted by FWD Fashion Group at The Ivy Tavern on Lemmon Avenue and we were there to capture every frame of it.
A Summer Afternoon Built for Connection
From the moment guests stepped through the door, the night had a rhythm of its own. Cocktails in hand, conversations sparking across the room, and that unmistakable buzz of people genuinely excited to be in the same space, Style & Sip delivered exactly what it promised: a stylish, relaxed environment for Dallas’s fashion community to connect, collaborate, and grow their circles.
The Ivy Tavern set the perfect backdrop. Warm, intimate, and effortlessly cool, the venue gave the evening a soirée feel without ever tipping into stuffy. This wasn’t a stand-around-and-mingle obligation event. It was the kind of room where emerging designers, stylists, photographers, brand founders, and content creators actually wanted to be trading ideas, swapping stories, and finding the collaborators who might shape their next project.
Meeting the Future of Fashion in the District

The heart of the night belonged to a special reveal. This edition of Style & Sip introduced the talented designers selected for FWD Fashion Group’s upcoming Next in the District Fall Design Competition Show giving attendees an exclusive first look at the creatives behind the collections before they take the runway this fall.
There’s something special about catching a designer in this exact moment: after the selection, before the spotlight. The anticipation was real, and you could feel it in the room. These are the names Dallas will be watching this fall, and Style & Sip gave the community a chance to meet them while the energy was still fresh and the runway still ahead.
For us, those introductions were some of the most rewarding moments to photograph the handshakes, the first conversations, the genuine excitement of designers stepping into a community that’s rooting for them.
What We Captured
As the photography partner for the evening, our goal was simple: tell the story of the night the way it actually felt to be there. Not just posed portraits and step-and-repeat shots, but the in-between moments – the laugh mid-conversation, the designer explaining their vision to a new connection, the room slowly filling as strangers became collaborators.
Events like Style & Sip are exactly what we love to cover. They’re community-driven, creatively charged, and full of the kind of authentic energy that’s impossible to fake. Our job is to make sure that energy doesn’t disappear when the night ends that it lives on in images the hosts, designers, and attendees can carry forward into everything they build next.
Thank You, FWD Fashion Group
A huge thank you to FWD Fashion Group for bringing this community together and for trusting us to document the evening. Events like this are how scenes grow one introduction, one collaboration, one shared cocktail at a time. Dallas’s fashion future is in good hands, and we’re proud to have been in the room for it.
To everyone who came out to sip, socialize, and celebrate summer with us: we’ll see you at the runway this fall.
