QUESTIONS WE HEAR OFTEN

Common questions from firms, marketing directors, and managing partners looking at video production. Don’t see yours?

Ask Us Directly →

Do you understand attorney advertising rules and bar compliance?

To be straight with you: we’re a video production studio, not a marketing or compliance agency. We don’t write your ad copy, draft your disclaimers, or strategize what’s permissible under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct or your state bar’s advertising rules.

What we do is build our production workflow around your compliance process. Your firm or your marketing counsel reviews the script and final cut. We’ll flag obvious risks we’ve seen come up (outcome promises in case results, comparative claims, missing disclaimers) — but the legal sign-off is yours.

Can you produce client testimonials without breaching confidentiality?

Yes — but only with proper consent. We do not shoot identifiable clients without a signed release, and we strongly recommend that release be drafted or reviewed by your firm. Any reference to a specific matter, settlement amount, or attorney-client communication needs your sign-off before it appears on camera or in the cut.

When confidentiality is non-negotiable, we have alternatives — silhouette interviews, voice-only with anonymized B-roll, or actor re-creations clearly labeled as such.

Will you put outcome claims or settlement figures in our videos?

If your firm and compliance review approve them and the required disclaimers are present, we’ll include what you tell us to include. We won’t draft outcome claims, generate settlement figures, or pitch language that implies a future result based on past cases — that’s a bar advertising minefield and not our lane.

Our default posture: when in doubt, frame the work around the firm, the people, the process, and the client experience — not the numbers.

Do you sign NDAs and confidentiality agreements?

Of course. Confidentiality is the default expectation when we work with firms. We’ll sign your standard NDA before any pre-production conversation that touches matter detail, and our project agreements include confidentiality and IP terms suited to legal work. Footage with identifying client information is stored on encrypted drives and destroyed on the schedule you specify.

What kinds of firms do you typically work with?

Boutique and mid-size DFW firms across most practice areas — personal injury, family, estate planning, business and commercial, criminal defense, employment, and immigration. We’ve also produced for solo practitioners launching a firm and for established multi-attorney shops bringing video into their brand for the first time. If you’re a BigLaw office in Dallas or Houston, we can scope to that too — the process is the same, just bigger.

How on-camera comfortable do our attorneys need to be?

Not as comfortable as you’d think. Most attorneys we shoot have never done a long-form interview on camera before. We run a brief warm-up, give light coaching on pacing and posture, and edit around the strongest takes — your attorneys end up looking exactly as authoritative on screen as they are in a deposition. We also rehearse intros so the opening line isn’t the awkward one.

Where do you shoot — at our office, at a studio, on location?

Most attorney films are shot on location at your firm — the conference room, the library, the partner offices, the lobby. We bring all production gear and lighting; we just need a couple of cleared rooms for a few hours. For exterior B-roll we’ll usually capture courthouse, downtown, and skyline plates around the metroplex. We’re fully mobile and travel anywhere in the Dallas–Fort Worth area without a travel surcharge.

How do we start a project with you?

Send a quick note through the contact form — what type of film, which attorneys are involved, your firm’s compliance review process, and your timeline. We’ll respond within 24 hours with a quote, a shoot schedule, and a brief creative direction. NDA on request, signed agreement, deposit, and we’re on calendar.

READY TO PUT YOUR FIRM ON CAMERA?

From a single attorney bio to a full recruiting campaign, we’ll come back to your inquiry with a quote, a shoot schedule, and a brief creative direction — within 24 hours, NDA on request.
