FAQ
QUESTIONS WE HEAR OFTEN
Common questions from restaurant owners, bar operators, chefs, hotel marketers, and hospitality groups across DFW. Don’t see yours?
How do you shoot food without disrupting service?
We schedule around your service windows by default — early morning prep, mid-afternoon dead hours, or after close — and we run a small, mobile kit so the kitchen and the floor stay yours. When we do need to shoot a live service for atmosphere, we communicate with the lead before doors open and we stay out of server lanes. If your concept needs the room full to feel right on camera, we’ll plan around a soft seating moment or a friends-and-family night so we get the energy without putting a paying table on hold.
What does a monthly social subscription actually look like?
One shoot day per month at your venue — usually four to six hours — and we walk out with a stack of six to ten vertical reels, food beauty cuts, and a few atmosphere clips. Edits land within an agreed turnaround in the project agreement, captioned and sized for Reels, TikTok, and your website. The point is rhythm. You get a steady, on-brand content drumbeat without writing a brief from scratch every month.
Can you make our food actually look like our food?
Yes — and this is the part most operators care about most. We don’t spray-paint a burger or swap real product for fake. We plate from your line, with your team, on your dishware, and we light it so the texture and color read on a phone screen without lying about what shows up on the table. If you have a chef or culinary director who wants final say on the plating, we want them on set. The best food shots come out of that collaboration, not around it.
We’re a pre-opening concept — when should we bring you in?
Earlier than most operators think. Ideally we’re on calendar four to six weeks before opening — that gives us time to capture the build, the menu rehearsals, the staff training, and the first dinner services so opening-week marketing has real footage to lean on instead of stock. If you’re closer to the wire, we can still build a strong opening package off a single intensive shoot day and a few targeted follow-ups in the first month.
Do you handle hotels and larger hospitality properties, or just restaurants?
Both. Boutique hotels, event venues, and hospitality groups are a real chunk of our work — property films, suite walkthroughs, amenity coverage, and brand pieces for booking pages and OTA listings. The production approach is the same: capture the experience honestly, edit for the audience that’s deciding whether to spend money with you.
Do guests have to sign releases when they appear on camera?
For identifiable faces in commercial content, yes — we handle it cleanly on the day with simple signed releases for anyone featured in a recognizable way. For atmosphere coverage where guests are background and unrecognizable, standard hospitality signage and on-the-day verbal notice typically covers it, and we’ll coordinate with your team on how you want it posted at the door.
Where do you travel — are you only Dallas?
We cover the full Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex as standard — Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Arlington, and everywhere in between with no travel premium. For projects outside DFW, we’ll quote travel transparently in the project agreement.
How do we start a project with you?
Send a quick note through the contact form with the basics — what you’re producing, when you need it, who it’s for, and any reference work that inspired the direction. We’ll respond within 24 hours with a quote, a timeline, and a brief creative direction. From there, signed agreement, deposit, and we’re on calendar.
