The brief
The fellowship wanted a teaching resource on Christ-like discipleship. It needed to work for students. That meant short, honest, and easy to come back to.
A sermon recording would not do it. Students tune out lectures. They lean in when a real person tells a real story. So the series had to teach and feel like a conversation at the same time.
The approach
We built every episode on two skills: interview and instruction.
Interview first. Each episode centers on a sit-down conversation. [Framing note, e.g. off-axis, documentary style.] Questions were open-ended so answers came out as stories, not talking points. That keeps it personal. Viewers feel like they are in the room.
Built to teach. Every episode follows the same arc. Name the topic. Hear it lived out. Land one takeaway a student can act on this week. [On-screen graphics, e.g. titles and scripture references.] The structure repeats across the series, so viewers always know where they are.
One look, start to finish. Matching framing, lighting, and graphics across all episodes makes the set feel like one series. Episodes work alone or in order.
| # | Topic | Focus |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Blessing to Others | Living generously and serving the people around you |
| 2 | Engaging in God’s Word | Building a real habit of reading scripture |
| 3 | Living for the Future in Christ | Letting eternity shape everyday choices |
| 4 | Commitments | Keeping your word to God and to people |
| 5 | Repenting | Turning back, and what that looks like day to day |
| 6 | Friendships | Choosing friends who sharpen your faith |
| 7 | Dealing with Conflicts | Handling disagreement with honesty and grace |
| 8 | Pursuing Wisdom | Seeking godly counsel for real decisions |
| 9 | Forgiveness | Letting go of what others owe you |
| 10 | Prayer | Making prayer a conversation, not a ritual |
What it shows
This series is proof we can turn a curriculum into content people actually watch.
- Interview direction. We get guests past the rehearsed answer and into the real story.
- Educational structure. We shape loose conversations into clear lessons with one takeaway each.
- Series consistency. Ten episodes, one look, one format. Built to be watched in order or on their own.
