Built for the Grind: Victrix Pro AF Hype Video

The Client

Performance Designed Products is a gaming accessory maker. Its Victrix line was built for competitive players. Controllers, headsets, and fight sticks made for people who play to win.

PDP was later acquired by Turtle Beach. The Victrix line lives on under that banner today.

The Assignment

PDP had a new flagship headset. The Victrix Pro AF Premium Wired Esports Gaming Headset.

They needed a hype video. Something that felt like competition. Something pros and fans would actually want to watch.

So they flew us to Orlando. The setting was a Halo event. Real players. Real stakes. Real noise.

The Challenge

Two features had to land.

The mic. A military-grade microphone. Clear comms in a loud room is the whole point. We had to show that, not just say it.

The earcups. Next-gen ventilation. Long matches get hot. These cups are built to breathe. That is hard to film. Airflow is invisible.

And we had to do it inside a live esports event. No controlled set. No second takes on the moments that matter.

The Approach

We let the event do the heavy lifting.

The Halo crowd brought the energy. We captured it and tied it back to the headset.

For the mic, we leaned on the chaos. A packed arena. Players calling out plays mid-fight. The message was simple. If comms cut through this room, they cut through anything.

For the ventilation, we went close. Tight product detail on the earcups. Players locked in for long stretches. The story was endurance. Stay cool. Stay in the game.

We cut it fast. Hype pacing. Built to match the rhythm of competitive Halo.

Why It Matters

Product videos are easy to make sterile. Spec sheets on a white background.

Esports fans do not buy that way. They buy what they see their scene using.

Filming at a live Halo event put the Victrix Pro AF where it belongs. In the hands of competitors. Under pressure. That context is the pitch.

This is the kind of work our team was built on. We came up in esports. We know how to read a room, find the moment, and turn it around fast.
