The Brief

An interview studio built for two audiences at once

EarthX brings together policy, science, sport, and celebrity under one sustainability banner — which meant our sit-down setup had to flex between a quick digital-first conversation and a broadcast-ready segment in the same afternoon, with no rebuild in between.

Dallas Media Co. was brought on to run the interview stage for the three-day event, working directly with the EarthX press office to move talent in and out on schedule, mic and light each guest to a consistent look, and hand off select interviews same-day for national TV use.

The roster ranged from an official on Dallas Fort Worth’s FIFA World Cup 2026 Host Committee to ocean explorers, a sitting head of government, a former head of state, and working entertainers — each interview run as its own short-form segment inside one continuous production day.

Inside the Host Committee’s plan for 2026

Andy Swift

Dallas Fort Worth Host Committee — FIFA World Cup 2026
Sit-Down Interview

With Dallas Fort Worth confirmed as one of sixteen host venues for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, we sat down with a member of the local Host Committee to talk through what “off the field” actually means for a market expecting hundreds of thousands of visiting fans — and how sustainability was written into the bid from the start.

“Sustainability is an important initiative. It starts with FIFA, the organizing body of the World Cup. As part of the bid process, FIFA had all the different venues submit a plan to show the programs they were going to implement — and the legacy the programs were going to leave behind.” Andy Swift · Host Committee, FIFA World Cup 2026

He framed the Committee’s real measure of success as invisible by design: transportation, cleanliness, and logistics running so smoothly that visiting fans leave remembering only what happened on the pitch. Asked how the moment compares to the U.S.’s last World Cup, he pointed to how far the sport has come domestically since 1994 — from a country that barely knew the tournament was arriving to a market with high awareness and, with it, higher scrutiny to get every detail right.

On Set

Running a broadcast-ready stage inside a three-day expo

01 / FLOW

A rundown, not a schedule

Talent moved through in tight windows dictated by press-office holds and stage calls. We built the set to strike and re-set fast between guests without breaking lighting continuity.

02 / CAPTURE

One setup, two deliverables

Every sit-down was framed and lit to work as both a long-form conversation and a cutdown vertical clip, so nothing had to be reshot for a second platform.

03 / TURNAROUND

Same-day broadcast handoff

Select interviews were logged, rough-cut, and delivered same-day to meet national broadcast deadlines — run in parallel with the digital edit pipeline for the rest of the roster.

Why It Mattered

A press-day production, not just a highlight reel

10
Named guests interviewed across a single stage over three days
2
Heads of state / government represented in the roster
1
Continuous set, reconfigured live for every guest and format
TV
Segments delivered direct to national broadcast
